This is a non-profit organization, does not generate any income and is not supported by any grants. The researchers, typists, and translators donate their time, expertise, information and receive no compensation. The Huapala Archives is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit entity and has no financial backing. All donations will be acknowledged and receive a tax-exempt letter

The lyrics posted are for personal use and gathered from composers' families, sheet music, research and old family song collections, some dating from the 1930's. The collections are written in the old style, before the Hawaiian language was standardized, without diacritical marks. Some lyrics and/or translations may not be accurate, may not be what the composer intended, and some have evolved with the passage of time. I am always soliciting meles, corrections and information from our viewers.
