This year's meeting/reunion is being held from Thursday August 14th - Sunday August 17th at The Lodge at Turkey Cove. The lodge is about 30 minutes north of San Antonio, Texas - on picturesque Canyon Lake (in the hill country of Texas). Our choice of a meeting location is enhanced by being in the great outdoors (where deer graze on the front lawn), but also because the lodge is owned by Brenda Blanchard - who shares management duties with her husband, Jay Blanchard - an NYSC delegate in 1977 from Louisiana.

If you are planning to attend the meeting/reunion in August, PLEASE go ahead and reserve a spot for yourself and family/friends. The weekend of our meeting is smack-dab in the middle of the busy season for the lodge; and in order to give Jay and Brenda an idea of lodging demands (and justify holding all the rooms in the lodge for the NYSCAA), they need to obtain reservations from us immediately.

The lodge does have a limited number of rooms (16) in various different configurations (from 2 to 6 occupants), so you may want to share lodging with other folks to keep down your per person costs. (But we can work these arrangements out a little later - email nyscaabio@aol.com to add your name to a share list.) If a room is at maximum occupancy, the Per Person/ Per Night costs will range between $22 and $45 for Friday and Saturday nights. (Thursday nite will range between $17 and $30). The meeting/registration fee will be $35 for those who register and pay by August 2nd, and $45 thereafter (This price includes our farewell dinner on Saturday). Discounted registration fees ($30 early & $40 late) will be given for 1997 NYSCAA dues payers and recent alumni (1993-1997). Registration fees can be sent (using form below [Form omitted -- Ed.]) directly to the NYSCAA at our regular address: P.O. Box 75373, Town Center Station, Charleston, WV 25375.

Again, if you are definitely going to attend for all or part of the weekend; or giving it a lot of thought - PLEASE, go ahead and make room reservations NOW. Jay will take a credit card reservation - but will not charge your card unless you fail to cancel by August 6th. The folks at the lodge can fill up these rooms with regular guests - so we can't keep Jay and Brenda waiting for long.
